What have I always believed?
That, on the whole, and by and large, if a man lived properly, not according to what any priests said, but according to what seemed decent and honest inside, then it would, in the end, more or less, turn out all right.
Try try again, little solidier. Here's a list of things that will guarantee a win!

"It’s cold and it’s mean-spirited and I don’t like it here anymore." - Alan Moore
"Can it, you nit!" - Violet Beauregard

I wouldn't call it badly written either, just amazingly rigged to give the Warriors something to do. Thor spends the first issue falling prey to convenient bouts of weakness (part of an ongoing storyline) that let the Juggernaut steamroll him and forgetting most of his powers until the Juggernaut gets him down. Then the Warriors show up, prove their bravery against the Juggernaut until Thor recovers and remembers, "Oh yeah, I'm a god," and uses his higher level powers to take him out. Even this is set up so the Warriors can help by assisting in making a steel cocoon for the Juggernaut before Thor teleports him away.
