Yeah I need more Thorgal in my life. Even though I have only read a couple so far I can say I love that series.

As for Hotel Particulier: It's a one shot by Guillaume Sorel. His art is amazing really. Not in English though at the moment, but you can check some pages in French here --> http://www.bdgest.com/preview-1294-B...136.1351176294

Salammbo Press will publish another work of Guillaume Sorel in English though at the end of this month The Last Days of Stefan Zweig.

The romantic evocation of the Brazilian exile of the Zweigs, from September 1941 to February 1942, becomes a graphic novel magnified by intense watercolours.

A ship slices through the waves of the Atlantic ocean. On board is Stefan Zweig, the renowned Austrian writer, and his second wife, Lotte. They have left New York and are bound for Brazil; President Vargas has just announced that he will welcome European Jews who have been forced into exile. Will they find peace there? Lotte wants to believe they can find happiness again, and enthuses about the beauty of Rio, the tranquility and exoticism of Petropolis. Stefan is working on his latest novel, but the painful memory of book burnings and anti-Semitic atrocities in Europe feed his despair. And the news of the war gets worse. How long can he carry on before sinking? On 22 February 1942, Stefan Zweig and Lotte committed suicide in Petropolis, putting an end to their wanderings. Their lives during these last few months in Brazil are the subject of this graphic novel, an adaptation of the eponymous novel by Laurent Seksik. In short sentences, punchy and incisive, Laurent Seksik conveys Stefan Sweig’s depression, bitterness and sadness, offset against all odds by Lotte's joie de vivre. The elegant, delicate and moving watercolors by Guillaume Sorel give a special momentum and a palpable intensity to the words. With a penetrating alchemy, the perfect balance between the watercolors and the text, the reader is struck by this story that skillfully blends romance, biography and testament.

You can't go wrong with Rosinski's art, I have about half of the run and don't forget there are some spin-offs, not very good from what I heard. Will get everything in, let's say, year or two, at least that's my plan.

Wow! That art is amazing, would buy it immediately.

    EDIT:

For those living in London or UK, there will be signing with Steve Yeowell of Zenith Phase One next Saturday. I'm going, never read it but heard it's very good, and also I'd have a chance to be in Gosh! comic store which has cult status - discovered some time ago at some random google search.

And 14th November Scott Snyder!!! Can't wait, there's gonna be 3 item limit, so have to choose wisely, think I'll take Severed.

Yeah Gosh is great! Visited for the first time last summer. What a joy to browse through their selection!

I heard mixed opinions on the Thorgal spin offs, one being better than the other. This book I have pictured before explains how each spin off fits in the universe. Pretty cool.

Ech, doing some research about The Essex County and it's more likely I'm gonna buy, just for that signing. HC is not cheap thou, of course it's much cheaper on US Amazon but sellers don't send it to UK. Bollocks!

OK, never seen this cover, makes sense then.

Is there some collection of Asterix stories in HC printed in english?

Haven't read much Asterix but I think it doesn't matter which volume you get first, there isn't much continuity.

They're probably not going to arrive at amazon.com at all. Better go somewhere else, since it's pretty hard to miss elsewhere:

Quite pricey, hahaha! Forget about first one, second one's price is propably the biggest price for comic - not old , like #1 Action Comics - I've seen.

Need help. Been looking for Superman Red Son HC for months and I found this:

    http://www.alibris.co.uk/search/book...owse=3&mtype=B

Is it really hardcover or just library binding and whole description is wrong. I've never heard about HC edition from 2014.

Just ask for a photo of the book before you buy. if they decline, avoid that seller like the plague.

well it says "Turtleback School & Library ed. " so I assume it's a library binding.
