It reads like a novel, so if you are OK reading the hobbit or something similar youll be fine.

On a side note I was looking into the ec archives by dark horse, but some of the books are published by gemstone only, I was curious how they look together on the shelf.
Depending on which series your on about it might be worth pouring over the shelf porn thread over at the Marvel Master Works Forum, those guys are much more into the classic comics than these forums are.

Raro RLDD's Shelf Porn is absolutely chock full of the stuff and I'd shocked if the books your looking for arn't somewhere on those shelves.

    So glad you liked PV.
Warning about EC books, if you have trouble with silver age writing you might not want to try them. They are even less polished and quite frankly I found them just plain stupid. Not saying there is no value in them and i've only read a few but the shock value alone doesn't make it up for the writing for me.

A better posting for this would be the Marvel Hardcover thread but surely someone has posted it there already by now.

I'm in Rome for 2 days and picked these up this evening!

Italian masters I like Crepax, Manara, Toppi, Pratt. I have the DH Manara collection, Archaia Toppi books, and am picking up the Fantagraphics Crepax books and the IDW Corto books. What are some significant Italian/European books that haven't yet been translated to English?

Wow, it's been a slow month for new books. Partly due to me cutting my budget but mostly due to not much being released that I want. Anyway, picked this up today. Nice that it's oversized.

I have the slipcased editions and from what I understand it predates the DH stuff, so get the slipcase then get DH's Saga vol 1, I want to get the hardcovers but having no luck whatsoever getting hold of vol 1 so I may end up just getting the trades, anybody have them? Do they suffer from the wavy page syndrome?

This is correct. Slipcase has been sitting on my shelve since Christmas (such a cool gift) - too much to read...

On that, I've been reading the first two deluxe editions of Sweet Tooth and it's pretty good! some of the cliffhangers and story developments are quite common, but the art and some of Lemire's ideas are just too cool.

Also read the Nikopol trilogy (which I know some of you have picked up recently) in its original french. Liked the first volume, loved the second, and thought that the third was a bit overkill and don't really understand why Bilal went that route. It feels like he tried to put too many ideas into too few pages - something I thought after reading The Incal as well. Still, good stuff all around and the art is amazing.

Is there anywhere in London to fix damaged omnibuses? I'm thinking of buying Grimm Fairy Tales omnibus and repairing them, if possible.

Haul for June. Not much, but that's ok. Providence already costs crazy money.

LOL. You get the DKR GE and talk about Providence being expensive? Btw, what do you think of the GE?
