Getting the first Master of Kung Fu Omnibus when it drops on the 14th

Moench is hands down one of the most underrated writers in the history of the medium and the Paul Gulacy artwork is awesome.

Most of my individual issues are now essentially rags from tons of re-reads over the years. Will be nice to eventually have the entire series in hardcover form.

Yes! Spread the Milligan love! Skreemer, Enigma and Dark Knight Dark City are some my favorite stories of all time.

Market in Poland is huge, tons of publishers, nice looking books. How about Hungary?
Hungary is crap, they never do hardcovers, only paperbacks and very few titles can survive because no one cares. Walking dead is quite strong and there is a constant market for Lucky Luke and Asterix it seems like but that's basically it. Of course the superhero stuff is always popular but there are a limited number of costumers so it's either monthly or bi monthly issues or trades. And you get every 3 or 6 month a trade which is either Iron man or Spider-man or a Batman but you can't release 3-4 titles because people won't buy them.
Stuff like Hellboy, Fables, Sandman died a horrible death after a few trades. Scott Pilgrim got released all the way through but that was a cheap trade, not that big of a risk.
I stopped caring about translated stuff ages ago even when I lived there (didn't go back since I moved here) and just got everything in english, didn't even care about supporting the local market, did it for ages but nothing will ever change.
Oh but bloody freaking Spawn got republished in bi monthly form and people lost their minds about it. That tells you everything about the future of hungarian comicbook publishing.

I've read Enigma btw when the new tpb came out, really-really liked it. Have the best of Milligan and McCarthy hc too but only read Paradax. Not but stuff but I really have to be in the mood for these.

Talking about Poland, Hungary, Netherland, I am always looking for foreign editions of Mills & O'Neill Marshal Law comics. So far I have Italian, Spanish, French and German editions, and I have recently discover the existence of Brazilian editions published in the nineties. So if anybody here can point me out foreign editions that I miss, it will make my Day!

There's no Dutch edition AFAIK. There's a lot of DC stuff being published in Dutch nowadays but I doubt they have the rights to Marshall Law. If they do publish an edition I'll give you a heads up.

That's what a lot of the posters on here use, myself included (or the expedit, which is basically the same). I have recent pics on the shelf porn thread if you want to see how they look. It will fit absolutes/LEs as well. I wouldn't pay that price for one though. if there's an IKEA near you, you can pick one up for half that. Also, Walmart carries a similar shelf, though a bit cheaper made that would work just as good. I'm not 100% on its dimensions though, but it will definitely at least fit Omni/deluxe size.

Thanks for the info. I don't have an Ikea near me, so I have to have it shipped.

But I wanted to make sure that the shelves will hold the weight of several omnis. Did you mount yours to the wall?

No, mines not mounted. The hardware they give is just one bracket, so it's made to stand on its own. Mine is full, and holds up fine. Dick Grayson in the custom binds thread has 2 filled with books on both sides of the shelf, so they'll hold no problem. I will say the way they're put together, the shelf will "sway" slightly if push the side of it or whatever. The bracket would undoubtedly help with that. But for me it's been a non issue, and i'd buy another without thinking twice.

Here's the link to the Wal-mart one. It's only 8 cubes: http://www.walmart.com/ip/Better-Hom...olors/29741111. Could get 2 of those and save some $$$. I have one for my son's toys and stuff.*

Latest. Took almost 2.5 years to get my copy of Something Terrible from when I first pledged on the Kickstarter. What a gong show. At least that's over. Really surprised I even got anything.

Something needs to be done about Kickstarter, it's a really good idea but it takes aaaaages for everyone to finish anything which just ruins the whole thing and makes people who pledge or want to pledge jaded.
I've read the short version of Something terrible, it was really good.

This is probably the best shelving possible for OHCs at an affordable price. I own 3 4x4's and 2 4x2's which contain nearly all of my omnis and absolutes with no problem. There's no bowing of the shelves and I can even display statues on the top with no noticeable strain on the shelves.

Yeah, for sure. I'm pretty jaded on Kickstarter now. This particular book had a lot of issues with Dean. I won't go into it but it was a real fubar. I backed a couple kickstarters that were at the same stage in development as this one (book is done, just some extra things needed to be completed), and both other times I got my copy 4 months from when the Kickstarter started. This one? Almost 2.5 years. There's another that's been even longer. I've decided I would only back a Kickstarter now if it's from an established creator who has already done a Kickstarter before. I think a lot of people underestimate how much time and effort this takes. It's a fulltime thing. My brother put his game up on Kickstarter. The game was done, but because they got carried away with rewards, the game add ons ended up being much bigger than the original game. It is what it is. Anyway, probably not the thread to rant about this.
