I got some new stuff too this week. Fish was an awesome little read. It's a new installment in the 17x23 Nobrow series. Colossoal Conan is BIG!!! And the other books are European comics (in Dutch) about The Great War and WW2.

My purchases this week:
My word, is there anyone who comes even close to the quality of the Fantagraphics publications? Such a beautiful and well-produced book.
Does anyone have pics and and a review for Big Damn Sin City yet? I want to know how nice this enormous 1300 page book is before I pull the trigger.
When it comes to editorial content and extras, not even those I think. In fact I find it always annoying that Humanoids never have any extras in their books, however well-produced and expensive the books are.
Btw, what are those Berentand books exactly? Those planes on the second book don't look like anything that really existed during WW II.
I guess that one's gonna be the dog's bollocks - and it better be for that kind of money (although that's the reason why I'm most likely going to pass on it).
Btw, dunno if that's been posted yet, but has anyone heard of "Little Nemo - Dream Another Dream"? It's a kickstarter project that collects interpretations of Little Nemo by over 100 of today's best artists in a 16" x 21" HC (think Spirit or EC AEs for a size comparison). Here are some of the artists involved:
"Michael Allred, Paul Pope, Yuko Shimizu, J.H. Williams III, Charles Vess, David Mack, J.G. Jones, Craig Thompson, Paolo Rivera, Carla Speed McNeil, Bill Sienkiewicz, P. Craig Russell, Ronald Wimberly, Denis Kitchen, Jill Thompson, Stephen R. Bissette, Gabriel Bá & Fábio Moon, Farel Dalrymple, John Cassaday, Cliff Chiang, and over a hundred more"
Check out especially Gerhard's contribution (he used to do the backgrounds on Cerebus).

Totally agree on editorial content and extra's. I was merely talking binding, but FBI does it all to perfection.
As for Berentand (Bärenzahn in German)... Have yet to read it, and agree that those planes seem to be made up. But I'm not a specialist in those type of things.
And there's a little interview with Yann in German too that talks about the planes too. I;m too lazy to go through all of it, so not sure if he talks about whether he made them up or if they're genuine. http://all-comic.de/Extras/Interviews/Yann/
Oh my... That looks like something I do not want to miss!! Amazing project.
Ordered Big Damn Sin City on Wednesday and it arrived today. Pics to come. It's a thing of freakin' beauty!
Here are some pictures of the new Sin City release. It doesn't come with a dust jacket. It's the same size as the Colossal Conan book.

Here's some more, including one pictured next to Conan (I took DJ off Conan as I'm reading it right now.)
