Man with the Silver Star is an early one, book 6 if I'm not mistaken. It's an alright story but pretty far from the series high point. What were the other 2 stories?
If you can find them I'd recommend reading from "The Lost Dutchman's Mine" onward, those stories are much more modern than the earlier 'Fort Navojo' ones.

I just spent time in Rome and had the pleasure of visiting the Museum of Rome Trastevere http://www.oggiroma.com/events/exhib...-novels/21811/

Pratt's Corto Maltese, Manara's Giuseppe, Crepax's Valentina, Toppi's Sharaz De! Wow, true masters!

I also just ordered Fantagraphic's Crepax book...not sure how I missed that announcement!

The Lost Dutchaman's Mine was included as well, but translated as German's not Dutchman. Last one was Revenant wit Golden Bullets. There are more books in Poland, think it's 6, I just don't have access to them, but would like to collect them all.

Actually Phantom was serialized here in the same magazine with Mandrake back in the days, i think, and it is awesome
So it's another nostalgic wishlist for me, if my memory serves me that far, early mandrake was average, but it gets really better over time
Whats the deal with Hermes press?

Hermes Press has the rights for the Phantom reprints: strips, King comics, Charlton and Gold Key.
Half the books are out of print and the ones in print are overpriced and you don't even get good build quality or good restoration. The Silver age books cost as much as an MMW but are not oversized, has cheap paper and the restoration is barely acceptable especially for the price.
Also, one of the books, an omnibus edition (still standard size) never materialized.
Don't have any of the strip collections because some of the silver age monthly books reworked those stories and I went with them (less volumes and only two oop) so I can't speak of the quality of those books but in general it's a huge disservice for such an important character.

For a book like this Titan Mandrake collection Hermes would probably charge twice as much.
