No I didn't . Heard from different sources that it's just alright so I decided not to experiment (and I experiment waaaay less nowadays than I used to)

    That's why I haven't bought them either.

I just checked and Bendia drew them all except Torso, which was by Marc Andreyko.

I thought Wasteland was pretty solid (but I'm a post-apocalyptic nut). Biggest complaints were the story was b&w so Mitten's art was hard to discern at times, and Johnston opted to go with a sort of pseudo-english for one of the main groups that is difficult to follow until you get used to it.

Completely agree on Wasteland. Really liked it, but I like that sort of stuff as well. Still, there's a clear ending, which isn't always the case in that sort of stories.

Personally, I liked the pseudo-english, and the religions created for the book. Art isn't for everyone and the characters can get sometimes mixed up, especially in action scenes.

The compendiums are great value for money and well put together.

Got a couple whales in the past week. Aphrodite IX hardcover, new/sealed, for cover price. Archer and Armstrong hardcover volume 1 for under cover(have yet to receive this one yet, but said "very good," so we'll see), and Red Lanterns 4 for cover, lightly used. Pretty happy overall. Now I just need the hardcovers of Rai vol 1 and Bloodshot vol 1....

Other than the two Marvel monsterbus editions and the Amazing fantasy volume has there ever been any reprints in book form from the pre-hero years? Thank you for any replies.

Marvel's Masters of Suspense Steve Ditko and Stan Lee Omnibus has been solicited. https://www.cheapgraphicnovels.com/p...at=2806&page=3 There are also 28 Atlas Era Masterworks volumes. I believe most can be found for reasonable prices as they were not huge sellers and further volumes have been discontinued for about 7 years from what I gather. http://www.marvelmasterworks.com/library.html

I've had all the material in the Omnibus in trade form for many, many years. These 4 stories are why I've followed Bendis all this time.....I thoroughly enjoyed them all when I first read them. Disappointed I didn't know about this Omnibus until now actually......now the search begins to try to find one at a reasonable price.

Thank you as I was not aware of the Masterwork editions Brewman as I've never owed any as I was quite happy with the Essentials line. I suppose that they might not appear in the Epic collections which would be a shame, all the best.

Can anybody educate me on the Dark Tower comics? I know it's an adaptation of the Stephen King novels, but I've never read any of it. Any good? It's a pretty solid lineup of artists. I know there was a couple of omnis that I think are now oop. I'm asking because I just came across this new listing on Amazon for a hardcover box set. Does this look like the entire comic run? Interestingly it's being published by "Gallery 13" (never heard of them), and not Marvel.

I’ve picked up the first ~5 trades at cons at >50% off but my ‘to read’ pile is pretty dang big. Bad on me as I’m friends with Jae. Artist lineup through the three overarching arcs (Dark Tower, Gunslinger, Drawing of the Three) was pretty stellar. Gallery 13 picked up the rights to reprint. Breakdown here:

This seems to be a reprint of Marvel's second Dark Tower Omnibus
