Random question, has anyone here from the UK ordered omnibus (or anything really) from InStockTrades? Did you get slapped with import charges or fees?
They're very cheap with the current exchange rate but not if I get stuck with unseen fees.
This one (although that doesn't have a slipcase)?
That contains all his Palomar stories from vol.1 (including "Duck Feet" and "Love & Rockets X") and (I'd guess) the first part of his vol. 2 Luba stories. Those SC's are great value, I have them as well.
Depends what IST does. If they put value etc. on shipping label, you should consider that extra fees might be added. Smart vendors don't do it, I've bought some stuff from US or Canada, and was charged only once, for Devin Townsend 'Contain Us' boxset, because vendor has put all information on package.
Also heard, but can't confirm, this thing is random: you might get charged or might not. Just drop them email and ask what they do to avoid import fees.
Anybody got that Metal Gear Solid Deluxe? I'm not a gamer and haven't played Metal Gear, but I like Ashley Wood and really dig Deluxe hardcovers. Is it worth it? And I keep running across references for a library edition--is that something different or they one and the same?
TIA.

Pretty much. Books are duty free and exempt from VAT in the UK, so you won't have to pay any import duty or tax. To do things properly, the seller should fill out a CN22 form (or similar) with the correct HS Tariff Code: 49019900 for books, or 49029000 for single issue comics/magazines (this is only needed if the goods are coming from outside the EU). Hope that helps!
