But there is an absolute edition coming out.
Quick question. Going back to the Tom Strong OHC books. Are there only two that collect through issue 24? Thanks in advance.
Yeah, I'm not sure if it's because of lack of sales or the fact that Moore quit writing (I think #22 is his last), but there are only the two OHC.
He also wrote the very last issue of Tom Strong but there were indeed a bunch of filler issues in between.
The strangest thing happens to me today. Lurking through this part of the forum where Moore's Neonomicon were mentioned I had the idea to go see the Avatar web site to look if they have some forthcoming Alan Moore's work scheduled in the next months. One thing leading to another I found myself browsing through their hardcover section (supported by comic cavalcade web shop) and to my great surprise they were displaying the Signed LIGHT OF THY COUNTENANCE Leather Hardcover (65$, limited to 350 copies), and NEONOMICON Signed Hardcover Edition limited to 200 copies (90$) as they were simply in stock at cover price.
Notice that these two books are regularly listed on ebay for indecent amounts. I have ordered them right away thinking that I will surely received a message stating that "sorry it's an error they are out of stock" but to my greater surprise a few minutes ago I have received a mail stating that my order have been shipped. and
And the shipping fees to France were not astronomical (25$). As it's too good to be true I will wait to receive my packet to really believe it and cross these two books from my wishlist.
awesome! I mentioned Neonomicon and I stated that it was basically Lovecraft + porn and it kinda disturbed me and didn't get the point of it. If I'm not mistaken you liked the story (that's why you bought the lmtd, signed hc) so if you are in the mood don't hesitate to explain to me why is it a good book (sometimes I need convincing to see things in a different light and in case of Alan Moore I'm quite convincible that the story is good and I just don't get it...or got it years ago when I've read it).
Mainly, I have seen the words "Moore", "Signed" and "limited".
But yes, I liked Neonomicon a lot. Because indeed the key word here is "disturbing" and I am not used to that feeling when reading comics. But I like to be surprised. I don't see it as porn (in the sense of something made to arouse its reader) but true horror comic, and something else (it is indeed something else all together). But I only read it once and episodically and I will probably have clearer thoughts once I re read it in collected form, after re reading The Courtyard (the stories are linked). As it is a Lovecraftian thingy I am not sure that everything in this work has to make sense. But perhaps it will make more sense with Providence http://comicsbeat.com/interview-with-alan-moore-part-1/
It's possible and I hope GA does.
And, look, I'm not trying to be argumentative, but I'm just saying to anyone out there who wants to read HB - especially the awesome Ennis stuff - then go ahead and get the tpbs. The hardcovers - in my opinion - are either not coming or are a long, long ways off.
And, hey, it hurts me to say that. I'd love if they would do an omnibus for each author who wrote HB.
Thanks. I forgot that he didn't write the whole series.

Your books defy gravity sir. That is truly amazing . But damn, those are some sexy spines.
Has anyone heard of a series called Alien Legion? Titan is doing a reboot (continuation?) named Alien Legion: Uncivil War and I discovered the original series. Most of it seems to be available in TPB Omnibi. I love the theme of this series. I dare say I fell in love at first sight. I might go ahead and start collecting the TPB's.
