Has anyone read The Secret History omnibus? I saw that vol. 3 is being released this week. Just curious on everyone's thoughts on it.

Ordered myself the Barbarella Collectors Edition from the Amazon market place today. I was pleasantly surprised because I was sure all the discounted ones had gone and I was going to have to cough up cover price but there is a bunch for around £35.00. Fingers crossed I like it now, it's a little different than my usual purchases.
This week's arrivals:
Really enjoying the heck out of these oversized Asterix books.
Talking about Asterix, I don't know if the Asterix and the Picts Deluxe oversized edition has been translated in other langages http://myabsolutecollection.blogspot...s-edition.html, but a second volume in that line is scheduled for the 24th of this month http://www.amazon.fr/ASTERIX-LE-DOMA...aine+des+dieux, and http://www.asterix.com/la-collection...tion-luxe.html (sorry it's all in French).
Good price on Amazon for Technopriests collection. I guess that's a reprint.

The super-oversized edition of Asterix and the Picts has been translated into German already, and I've been eyeing that one up for a while. But it's 49€ RRP (no discount possible) which is a bit much considering that I prefer Uderzo's art. But that new one, "Domaine des dieux", I might actually buy even at that price (love the story). Since Asterix is almost as big over here as it is in France itself and we get every edition you guys have a short while later as well, it shouldn't be long before it'll be published in German.
Has anyone else pre-ordered the new edition of Before the Incal on amazon.com and not recieved it? Customer service says they arent getting it in as far as they know. Why the hell did they take pre-orders?
The newest article on my blog concerns Avatar's Alan Moore special edition of Light of Thy Countenance and The Courtyard/Neonomicon (that I am currently re reading).

There are still a lot of interesting stuffs still in stock at Comic Calvacade web shop (will probably order The Courtyard Companion).
Not sure what you mean with your question.
But yeah, I love these special editions. Sadly we don't have the Gaston or Spirou special/"Artist's Edition"-type ones that you have in France (awesome blog, btw.).
Speaking of which, I was wondering if those are done from the original art pages (like IDWs AEs) and if so, how it can be that there are complete sets of original pages of any seminal and famous work like Asterix or by Franquin. Do the pages belong to the publisher? I know that IDW is often having a hard time publishing an AE because in many cases pages have been sold and can often not be located.
I'm so happy my oversized Ultimative Asterix collection has finally been completed. The new coloring and lettering are awesome. That Uzumaki book is freaking!
Wouldn't it be better to buy the german HC edition from Hellblazer? There's still no english OHC and that's a shame. I recently bought the german Preacher HC and they're really nice. I believe Hellblazer have the same quality.
