That Thorgal looks nice. Vliegenkoning sounds interesting. Might pick that up when I have some money.

I think it's in the previews this month, so it should turn up at other places eventually. I ordered it directly from Bergen Street, the shipping was quite reasonable imo ($13).

Vliegenkoning vol. 1 is almost sold out though. Sherpa is out of stock, so the only ones left are in the stores. If you want to read them in English as King of the Flies then check Fantagraphics.

Just finished "Uzumaki". What the hell did I just read? That is one of the most creepy and disturbing comics I've ever come across. Wow.

Oh, and hey Martin: finally someone else who got "Vietnamerica". Why that book isn't being talked about more is beyond me.

Uzumaki is indeed "creepy" and "disturbing". It's a really fine sense of horror though, but the kind that might give you some nightmares. I won't eat any snails in the future (haven't in the past but you get the point). Great, great comic book but - holy sheep - it's kind of "Requiem for a dream" in comics. A nightmare!

It is, yeah. Got the same version. Word of warning - it really is quite disturbing.

Received Manhattan Projects v1 OHC today from Amazon. Its pretty much identical to the Walking Dead OHCs in terms of build quality, and the way it looks. Pretty nice package, though comparing the paper to the TPB editions I already have the pages are a bit more glossy.

    Anyone picking up Zenith?

I know nothing about it and am interested, I'm just not sure which Morrison is writing this one. Is it crazy Invisibles Morrison or is it closer to Doom Patrol or Animal Man?

I will but only b/c Yeowell will be signing phase one this Saturday; and phase two in December I believe.

Here is the picture of Bryan Talbot with his upcoming Arkwright Integral.

    Anyone else in on this?

It was supposed to come out in October but somehow, it's quietly re-solicited for November. At least according to Dark Horse's official website.

I suppose that's done to match 4th installment in Grandville series that's also coming in November.

So, November is gonna be pretty much Talbot month. Can't wait.
