You can get the 75 years Marvel book straight from Taschen (no shipping charges). Probably won't work out cheaper, but at least you can get it from there.

Yeah, thanks, but I'll be in a business trip on Monday in Stockholm - so I'll check some book shops for this book and for Little Nemo

EXIF tags, they tend to be either poorly implemented or completely ignored. In this case it seems like your phone changed the orientation data in the EXIF tag rather than changing the picture itself and then the website stripped the EXIF data from the picture.

But still worth it for me... and if you can pick up the hc it's not that big of a deal... just glue it back together with proper glue.

Tbh EVERYTHING that is glued from top cow falls apart, even the normal trades... real shame, cause I like a lot of their stuff.
They might have fixed it by now though, haven't bought anything from their newer stuff.
Unfortunately Top Cow doesn't put out a decent well-built book. My Rising Stars hardcover fell apart after a read.

That's gross and I wish there were a governing party that could step in and handle **** like that right away. For any product in general mind you.

    Great looking book Martin.
How is the binding (lay reasonably flat?) ?

Looking forward to hear your opinion on the story.

Yeah, there should be some kind of reprehensions when they release shitty products for 30-50 bucks (or even more).
On the other hand Image's copendiums are really good quality.

Went into my local library this afternoon and found they had a Thorgal tpb and The Tour OGN. They've both been mentioned a bit on here, so I got them out to try.

Thorgal is pretty good, very similar to Conan but much more depth. The Tour is fantastic, I sort of follow the Tour de France so really enjoyed the "tour" through the history of the event.

And here is the solicitation for the second volume of The sixth gun deluxe:

Yep it's Humanoids, so top notch quality sewn binding and lays flat from page 1.

It's almost Christmas time, which means I need my yearly sword and sorcery fix So RE Howard is a given, and I just got into Slaine. So far I'm enjoying the heck out of it.

Haven't read anything else by Puerta. Sadly, Red Baron is the only work that is available in a language I can read. Would love to have more of that (Red Baron preferably in German; it's kinda weird having street thugs from Berlin speak Cockney).

If I turn my phone sideways for a widescreen shot the zoom icon doesn't always adjust along with it. That tells me the phone still thinks the phone is in it's original position and saves the image vertical instead of horizontal.
The originals are right side up.

Not sure, don't follow auctions like that anymore but my guess is, for a like new/very good condition you'd have to pay 400 for 2 sets. Word of warning about those editions: they're great, best books I've ever had and will, but when you read them you'll leave soooo much fingerprints on pages you can't even imagine. Use some gloves, I didn't.

I always found that the first volume was hitting the $150-175 mark and the second you could maybe - if lucky - score for $100.
Personally, I'm no longer interested in them. I suppose if I could get both sets for super cheap, I'd jump, but I'm happy with the Big Damn book. It looks great sitting next to Colossal Conan!

All deal discussions, Barnes & Noble codes etc are to go in this thread from now on:

    Good Deals Thread

There has been a fair bit of off topic away from Collected Edition discussion, mostly around sales, and how to get them, shipping from B&N etc . All of that can go into the new thread.

I have also put up a PSA about Ebay links, they are not allowed on CBR per the rules which you agreed to when signing up to the forum . Now I have deleted a fair few of these posts lately, so hopefully this will stop that.

    Carry on
