Hermes Press has the rights for the Phantom reprints: strips, King comics, Charlton and Gold Key.
Half the books are out of print and the ones in print are overpriced and you don't even get good build quality or good restoration. The Silver age books cost as much as an MMW but are not oversized, has cheap paper and the restoration is barely acceptable especially for the price.
Also, one of the books, an omnibus edition (still standard size) never materialized.
Don't have any of the strip collections because some of the silver age monthly books reworked those stories and I went with them (less volumes and only two oop) so I can't speak of the quality of those books but in general it's a huge disservice for such an important character.
For a book like this Titan Mandrake collection Hermes would probably charge twice as much.

I suppose print quality from our local magazines in the 80s weren't so good either, but they were doin outstanding job of sampling all relevant stuff from the past and present

How is the The Complete Crepax: Dracula, Frankenstein, And Other Horror Stories?

It is amazing and I'm dying to get my mitts on the next nine volumes. The way they've put this one together is quite brilliant. They're organising them all thematically but I think this one's particularly interesting. It mostly has some of Crepax's Valentina stories from the late '60s and the art here is something else, like nothing I've seen before. However, as his children note in an interview at the back of the book, the last two stories - his adaptations of Dracula and Frankenstein - came much later in his life, the latter only released a year before his death with his line less than perfect as it once was. So you have this nice contrast in the style of his artwork from two different areas of his lifetime but what's great is that the quality is still every bit as excellent, especially considering that both of the latter stories are really good, creative adaptations rather than your usual mundane job. In fact, I agree with one of the people who wrote some notes on the stories at the back that his looser artwork for Dracula and Frankenstein suits the stories, especially the latter's sad atmosphere. So, yeah, it gets a big recommendation from me. Shouldn't have to say that, as always, Fantagraphics get the job done in terms of the book itself's quality.

Let's put it this way: Creepax is like Manara, you see sexual stuff all over the place. Even pornography but it's more like artistic approach to the topic.

from what I've seen and heard of Manara I really don't care about his stuff, can't see the appeal. Crepax's style looks more like my kinda thing but I just don't care about a story where a girl falls asleep and dreams about getting shagged by Dracula and then wakes up and that's it.

That's my thoughts too. I have just finished updating my blog article about Moore and Gebbies's masterpiece Lost Girls, and I was thinking that their approach was spot on for me: a pornographic comic where the story itself is about sex.

Found DMZ on Amazon from bookdepository - brand new in shrink - for a bit more over cover. Read it today at work, it's good, but I'm not very impressed.
