Bit late with my September haul.
Books which deserve more attention: Orc Stain and Godzilla by Stokoe: art is amazing, those two page panels can burn your eyes out, soooo many details. Also Orc Stain is my kind of crazy. Savage by Mills, really good story telling, and Adlar's art. Hard Boiled: JHC, this art, man THE ART! War Stories by Ennis: this guy just gets war like nobody else. Will buy all of his books at some point.

Awesome set of books, lvizzz. And yeah, there is no one better than Ennis when it comes to war comics (well, maybe Don Lomax). Check out Battlefields (basically War Stories but written for Dynamite) and Fury MAX: My war gone by. If you like Hard Boiled, check out Darrow's Shaolin Cowboy and Big Guy and Rusty (written by Miller and especially of interest to you if you like Stokoe's Godzilla).

Different material. One contains the mini-series and a graphic novel and the other contains the first ten issues of the regular series that followed. I recently read it and enjoyed it. It's crime noir, a lot like 100 Bullets or something Brubaker would write, although maybe not as good. But decent enough to recommend.
Signing with John Stokes. I'm pretty sure I have only one edition like that worldwide, already limited to 50 pieces and I asked him for sketch. Also we've been given copies of original art. I guess they don't charge readers in UK for signatures.
Talk was interesting as well, there was a guy from Rebellion, Head of Books, Ben something, don't remember. Anyway, those events are killing me, just too many.

Signing with Shaky Kane and David Hine. What an event! Videos, live commentaries, more videos from Kane's private collection, free booze. Bought both volumes of Bulletproof Coffin, couldn't find Strange Embrace anywhere, just found out about event too late. Seems Strange Embrace is my kind of story, spoken about it with Hine.
Strange Embrace is great. Track down a copy if you can!
