Baby coming in about 6 months, need to pare down my Omni/Absolutes from 3 "billy" bookshelves to about 1 (maybe 2) to make room.

    Advice?

Change out the Billy for a Kallax. With Kallax you can put books two deep on each shelf. That will at least solve some space issues.

Otherwise, start figuring out what books to sell.

    Congrats!

To create space the Kallax is a good option. I use them too. Books go two deep like Kodave said. I don't know if you've got the space for deeper bookshelves? If you don't want to sell maybe you can store them?

Your mancave is becoming the nursery it seems? Or selling books for diapers & formula?

I initially read that as 'Change the baby out for a Kallax'.

    Congrats slop101!

Are the Billy shelves as strong as the kallax? Because I'm looking on Ikea's website and I really like that Billy has glass doors (to keep out dust and such).

You can place doors in the Kallax too.

You mean there's a version of kallax that comes with doors, or i can buy my own doors and graft them on? Being a lazy SOB, the former option sounds a lot more appealing

I recently got the Complete Witchblade Hardcover vol.2. Even though it is standard size I like the look of the book.
However, volume 1 which only came out last September is already OOP.

Were the HC's a lower print run, does anyone know? Finding one is tough. Not on Ebay and third party Amazon dealers want x2 MSRP already.
    Reprint hopes?

    Thank you much.

But in general you're saying the Billy is not as strong as the kallax for storing omnis?

I opted for the softcover versions. But I do hope they come back in print for those that missed them out.

After Turner leaves the book is frankly forgettable until Marz takes over with Choi and then Sejic. I hope we get thick collections of that era.

Whatever happened to Mike Choi anyways? After Mind the Gap he just disappeared.

I can stock more in the Kallax. The Billy tends to bend in the middle if it's to heavy.
