    Default Ultimately Off-Topic!

    That's right guys, it's back!

This is a place to talk about anything and everything that isn't Ultimate Comics. Okay, well not anything and everything, but close to it. We've been at the new forums for six months now, and the moderators and administrators have decided to allow off-topic chat threads again. Be sure to keep posts civil and appropriate. As long as we can all do that, there should be no problem.

And don't worry, I haven't forgotten where we came from...

    Now get chatting!

Plawsky, you are a magnificent god.

PS. So how much did you just LOVE Interstellar? I have the same feelings about Interstellar as i did for Gravity. Sure it looked beyond beautiful, but i felt the story was lacking. I actually felt the twist in this Nolan movie was the easiest to see unfold, because it felt like a comic book story i've read before.

I'm still not sure how I felt about it. I saw it in IMAX, and it was visually outstanding. I really liked it overall, but the bitching and moaning about it over the past week has been bugging me. Most of the plot holes people complain about were directly addressed in the film, but of course, people want to pick it apart because it's Nolan. On the other side of things, Nolan's rabid fans are always frustrating in their blind defense of him (though not to the annoying degree they were post-Inception and DKR).

I still like Gravity a lot better, though. Interstellar is a more ambitious film, but the character arc in Gravity was a lot more compelling to me.

I liked interstellar much more than gravity. Not an amazing film but I give it a B+.

Yeah i liked the characters in Interstellar more, but both Interstellar and Gravity sort of summer from repetition. Gravity had like 3 different space shuttles, Interstellar has different planets they travel before reaching the end point. If there's one thing i'd cut from Interstellar it's spoilers:
Mann subplot. I felt the movie didn't need an Human antagonist, yes, i know the thematic reasons behind Mann and the subplot did make Cooper and Brand more closer, but i liked the movie much more as an space adventure and should have stuck with that.
    end of spoilers

So anyone hyped for Dragon Age: Inquisition? It's been getting great reviews! Where's Ubisoft is finally being caught for releasing half-assed Assasin's Creed games. Still, i'm eager to play AC: Rogue when they make an next-gen port for it.

I just hope Far Cry 4 rocks my socks off.

PS. Feels good to have Ultimately Off-topic back. Hope Sinx, Rockybanks, Wyokid and others are gonna come back soon. :b
