At the moment there are conflicting reports on the well-being of Jason David Frank, aka Tommy Oliver/Lord Drakkon. Posts from one of his close personal trainers seem to verify that he has died, people on the Ranger Board community close to the situation believe their sources on the matter to be true and that he committed suicide.
No major press affiliate has confirmed or denied anything. This is a developing situation.
I...I'm just shocked. Honestly and genuinely shocked. I can barely even process this coming so soon after Kevin Conroy's death.*
Power Rangers was such a huge part of my childhood and shaping me as a person, watching season after season, but the saga of Tommy Oliver and his journey and how that impacted the history of the franchise always kept me engrossed and he was part of so many memorable moments of the franchise and seemed to love and care for the show and the fans so much.*
RIP Tommy. RIP Jason David Frank.
May he RIP.

This came so out of the left field, jesus.
Tommy wasn't really my favorite ranger or anything, but he was a big part of my childhood and i'm thankful for that. Rest in Peace.
DC: Dick Grayson, Wally West, Donna Troy, Yara Flor, Titans
Some of my favorite Mangas: One Piece, Slam Dunk, Fullmetal Alchemist, HunterXHunter, Vinland Saga, Monster, Berserk, Vagabond.
Current reading: Jujutsu Kaisen, Chainsaw Man, Spy X Family, Kaiju Nș8, Blue Lock, Dandadan.
Out of all of the actors, Jason David Frank seemed to be the one who really leaned into the Power Rangers legacy. Aside from his stints in MMPR, Zeo, and Turbo, he came back after time to do Forever Red, Dino Thunder, and a number of anniversary shows. I loved his work for the videos by Bat In The Sun. Plus, he did a number of con and cameo appearances.
He was a true Ranger.
Rest in peace and power.
"I am a man of peace."
"A man of peace...who fights like ten tigers."
Yeah when I saw it I refused to believe it. Then I saw Walter Jones post about it. Dang. RIP JDF.
