Judging from the comments it's probably a very good thing that Gamora is the only guardian book I have any interest in.

Of the cover characters, why is Falcap the only one looking all grrrr and angry while Thor has to put her hand on his chest (or is he skeeving on all the ladies thinking they are easy like Jet?). Seems odd he is the only one drawn with that type of pose and response. I suppose everyone will blame Bendis for the cover though. CBR's sure do love to hate their Bendis while they are apparently "forced" to buy his books begrudingly week after week to compalin further about him.

I share your sentiment. Judging by the promo image if those are the characters Bendis will be teaming the GOTG up with, it's a pass for me. I'd love to see a Ghost Rider team-up, but not by Bendis. He'd butcher him. Any remotely obscure character he uses, he butchers somehow, whether it be bad characterization, continuity mistakes or generally a bad showing.

Bendis doesn't like ghost rider, I doubt he would ever write him. I remember back when Ultimate spiderman team up was coming out, I believe wizard did a interview with him and they listed a couple of characters that could show up and Ghost rider was one of them. Bendis states he's not really a ghost rider guy, the only thing he could come up with is ghost rider pulls up and spiderman goes dude your head's on fire.

Everything that's gritty is up his alley.
He likes goofy, but not if it's goofy he declares stupid.

So he doesn't like Venom, but he'll write Sentry being a drug addict.
He won't like Pixie or Tigra, but will be all over Squirrel Girl cause she's an internet meme.

The Guardians of the Galaxy where found by Star-Lord and Nova to fill in for the Nova Corps while Rider rebuilt it. Now with him and the Corps(not explained) gone and the Guardians being to busy guest starring in they're own book, getting captured, being too preoccupied with they're ego's, acting like they're the coolest, wasting time protecting Earth, and hanging with Earth's heroes.......who's suppose to save the little guy, fight the galactic sized threats, restore order, guard and police the galaxy now? Captain Marvel when she's not busy wasting time with the Guardians? Silver Surfer when he's not busy being esoteric and trippy. Seems like the Guardians 3000 are the only one's trying do some good, make a difference....fight the good fight and all that.
