Oh I understand this struggle completely. I'm taking a CGMA class which cost 700 dollars that teaches how to paint the face digitally.
And yet all of the videos so far, even the section that worked on "skin tones" was entirely Eurocentric. The skin tones part was just focusing on how the skin is made up of different colors instead of different shades of brown.

Hell, to be honest, one of the biggest gifts I received was from my ex girlfriend, she was chinese and in china there's some fantastic how to draw books that you can't buy here in the states, and man it brought my chinese authentic drawing skills to far higher degree's.

It's a huge problem in the art industry that's not really talked about.
