I know this may be off topic, but if you have the time, money, and interest, I HIGHLY recommend taking the CGMA art classes. I'm really glad I took my friends advice and focused on the basics. Even though one of the classes I'm taking is advanced (I didn't know this until after they redid the site a couple of weeks ago, in which they now list the difficulty of all the classes), it must had been the growing pains or some things must had just click
but my portrait ability has just recently leveled up.

Before, if I was trying to draw a image from a reference, I would get kinda close, but not really fully there, and it would take me so long to get to that stage. Just a couple of days ago I tried to draw a few faces from reference and not only did it match near perfect to the reference I was copying, I did it in the fraction of the time.

Strangely enough the class helped was a digital portrait painting class. This class throws color, painting, and advanced photoshop techniques right in your face, and seeing as I was new to the digital medium, safe to say every week has been severe growing pains.

But oddly enough even though my digital painting skills has increased a bit, the biggest advancement has oddly been in my traditional medium.
And this is only the beginning, they have tons of classes like anatomy, environmental sketching, costume design, perspective, drawing comic books and more. I definitely firmly believe now taking these classes with practice will get you to a professional level.

The only down side is they're pricey, they're about 700 bucks a pop, but they have installments of 2 payment plans if necessary.

Safe to say after this week's breakthrough, I'm super excited for what the future holds.

I pay way too much attention to celebrity news, and Drake is a huge asshole, he tries to be a sensitive caring guy and a womanizer who'll steal your girl at the same time. He threw himself at Rhianna when she clearly wasn't interested, he also allegedly has a child who he doesn't take care of.
