To me this smells like house cleaning. House cleaning in getting rid of characters who are a distraction in the worshiping of certain ones.

If you get rid of all the black guys -you have no choice but to LOVE Cyborg.

Get rid of the other Lanterns-you have to LOVE Hal.

Now how much money does DC lose between now and June? Why would you bother collecting the rest of those books?

All DC did was help the competition. Does this help Mighty Avengers, Storm, Bitch Planet, Ms Marvel and others?

I think it's really just a refocusing of the Green Lantern line after Johns. Two of the books aren't selling well. So they might have just changed direction an are relaunching them to fit a new status quo. John fans shouldn't worry too much. If they wanted to get rid of the others to help Hal they would have done so by now. Hal's been outselling the other Lantern books since he came back.

Also it's not like Cyborg is even doing anything outside of JL for them to have a reason to sabotage other characters for him. Wally West is the only character who ever got screwed by there need to focus on another character.

Batwoman, at least, is a mercy killing. The book's been terrible since Williams and Blackman left.

And of course, there's always the possibility of relaunch in June.

No way that Robin Hood is better than The Rock. Hell, Bad Boys 1 and 2 is better than Prometheus, which is a low bar to clear, but Prometheus is a pretentious pile, so...

I haven't seen Robin Hood . I can't judge that one next to The Rock. I agree Bad Boys 1 is better than Prometheus . I didn't like Bad Boys #2 as much as the 1st one.

Watching Ascension on SY FY. For a space ship that left the US in the 1950's they sure are casual about a black guy having authority. I thought the Civil rights movement kicked off in 1962.

LOL, its SYFY .... I would say not the History Channel but quite frankly SYFY is probably more historically accurate these days.

Interesting read so far, I do wonder what Bendis is going to do with Miles's dad's past with upcoming issues, the rest about Miles I disagree with and I know he was just ranting at that point but I think it should be pointed out that Miles was so full of guilt over keeping his Spidey life secret from Katie he just doesn't know he was better off not telling her because of her family's secret( they on that Romeo & Juliet ish )

Well Have not watched yet but they have been on the ship for awhile right so someone could have invented a thong while on the journey.

The thing with Ridley Scott is about one in four of his films is classical great. Like Aliens or Thelma and Louise. But after he makes that classically great film, he is gonna turn out three or four clinkers in a row. If you are lucky.

He has made good films too often for them all to be flukes, but his work is a crap shoot and has been getting somewhat worse on top of it.

I give Bay some credit for being a knowing, unrepentant money grubbing hack. If Pain and Gain showed me anything, its that the guy can direct stories without explosions in them, he just mostly chooses not to because money.

The best thing was before the board was wiped a few years ago I posted a mock Variety article where I joked Michael Bay was gonna direct the Revolutionary War film with Hayden Pantierre and Sam Rockwell . Quite a few posters believed that it was something Bay would do given his attitude of doing what pays the bills basically.

I may have lost interest in Scott, but I personally loved Prometheus. Definitely better than that crap of a "film" Bad Boys 2.
