Anyway, damn us all, as a species, for buying enough of it to convince DC to continue with this monstrosity.

If you don't like it, you don't need to come here complain about it.

You didn't say "who's as excited as I am?!" or "this is great, right?!". You said "discuss". That's neutral. And I'm discussing this thing's very, very special, unique place in my heart.

Zod already? Seems a bit soon to me, then again the villains have been by far the weekest part of this series so it might awesome. I like this series well enough... unlike many. I understand the criticisms and it could be way better than what it actually is, but I like it for what it is, and I appreciate it for being a Superman title that people are buying, not just comic book geeks. I guess I like it better for what it's meant to be than for what it actually is, but I think that Vol II was better than Vol I and I hope it keeps getting better.

I'm more excited for the Wonder Woman and Batman Vol II, quite frankly.

I just don't understand how JMS did Thor and then gave us these two volumes.

Wait , there's going to be Zod and the Luthor square (Luthor square, I just love saying that.)? Isn't that kind of a lot?
Anyway, I guess the theme of this year's fashion on Krypton was spikes. Tough luck if you have a sudden urge to scratch yourself, I guess.
    Hold those chains, Clark Kent
Bear the weight on your shoulders
    Stand firm. Take the pain.

Oh great, this truly needed to happen.

I wish we could get Batman: Earth One Vol. 2 already to compensate.

The last volume lost me with the whole Luthor squared thing.

I like Superman: Earth One. It's certainly better than most of the things the New 52 is doing with Supes.

I guess it just goes to show that a writer can be a huge fan of the character yet write him wrong on so many levels just the same. I don't find the stories that terrible, but the huge flaws in his motivations are just too much to overlook.

Don't remember volume I or II too well but I had obvious issues with Superman casting an dictator to the people to die but I'm fully expecting Superman to murder Zod because that's what he does and should do apparently.
