Still a better deal, considering I'd have to pay $21 just to ship it to me :P

I am stalking IST since 25th dec when it was said there's 50% discount until 31st dec. But apparently, it is already default price of IST to have 45-52% discount. Am I correct?

IST usually has 50% off a book the week it's released and that book goes down to 42% off usually. Which is a pretty big discount especially here in Europe

Generally, yes! IST is probably a close second.

I've never used cheapgraphicnovels, but IST has some great deals! My only complaint is that the shipping can be pretty slow sometimes, but the packaging is top notch.

No I haven't because shipping's too much but I know other non-US guys who use it and are very statisfied.

Shipping to Canada is usually about $30 which is too expensive for us too, but I have used it on occasion to get books that weren't in stock anywhere else. I got the New X-men omni for about $100 when it was going oop. It was cheaper than I could find it anywhere else.

I had a browse through IST and bookmarked the site as an option. I've bought most of my HCs through Ebay so far, simply because you can get really lucky in an auction. Like a couple of Punisher HCs which collect Punisher Max (Ennis run) and Welcome Back Frank for $5 each in NM condition, total 10 bucks plus a fiver for shipping. I don't do TPBs though.

This applies to Marvel & DC wide release books, which is most. However, for IDW/IMAGE or VALIANT it's usually 30-35% off of TPB/HC material the week of release.

Not sure if this was posted already a couple of pages back, but Amazon seems to have a new batch of Spawn Origins Book 1 HC, in case someone's interested.
That or maybe it's not OOP after all...

Where's a good place to stop when it comes to Spawn?

    Vol 1-10 or so?

    The deluxe or standard hc?

I assume you mean the paperbacks?

Per the wikipedia, the Spawn Origins Collection line collects Spawn as follows:

    Paperbacks:
    Volume 1 – #1–6
    Volume 2 – #7–9, 11–14 (No #10 featuring Cerebus, but includes Angela's debut)
    Volume 3 – #15–20
    Volume 4 – #21–26
    Volume 5 – #27–32
    Volume 6 – #33–38
    Volume 7 – #39–44
    Volume 8 – #45–50
    Volume 9 – #51–56
    Volume 10 – #57–62
    Volume 11 – #63–68
    Volume 12 – #69–74
    Volume 13 – #75–80
    Volume 14 – #81–86
    Volume 15 – #87–92
    Volume 16 – #93–98
    Volume 17 – #99–104
    Volume 18 – #105–110
    Volume 19 – #111–116
    Volume 20 – #117–122

Deluxe Slipcased Oversized Hardcovers (and there are limited signed/numbered versions out there)
    Volume 1 – #1–25
    Volume 2 – #26–50
    Volume 3 – #51–75
    Volume 4 – #76–100

Standard Hardcovers (similar to the Saga HC):
    Book 1 – #1–12
    Book 2 – #13–25
    Book 3 – #26–37
    Book 4 – #38–50
    Book 5 – #51–62
    Book 6 – #63–75
    Book 7 – #76–87
    Book 8 – #88–100
    Book 9 – #101–112

I am looking to collect all the standard HCs because I like the character, but being objective, McFarlane's writing is cringe-worthy, not all arcs are good, it feels very 90's and my quest is pretty much nostalgia-driven. I'd recommend the first Book that includes the stories by Alan Moore, Neil Gaiman, Frank Miller and Dave Sim, which I liked the best back when the title began. If you like it, go for the rest. It's also an interesting example of how Capullo's art has improved over the years.

    The standard HC.
Book 1 was going over 50 bucks on eBay. One of the sellers I've bought from a couple of times wanted like 300 for a sealed copy.
