*shrugs. Its B&W so its still quite light compared to coloured omnis.
The Strangers in Paradise omnis are just as thick and mine have held together perfectly fine.

I have the Invincible comp vol 1, same pages count, it looks better after a read than most of my 3-400 page Marvel tpbs. The Image compendiums are quite good quality, the Top Cow books are the crappy ones.

Really? So the spine keeps flat after reading?

My Elephantmen volume 1 had a crack in the middle of the spine after reading once... and I am quite careful with my books so.
Switched over to the hardcovers after that.

Not a huge deal, but it just doesn't look good on the shelves.
And I imagine it to be worse on a 1k+ page book.

Ps and yeah, my top cow softcovers like darkness compendium just fall apart completely.

The price has gone back up to £34 now. So hopefully some of y'all ordered one when it was low. I did.

I can totally confirm this. Own the two Walking Dead comp, first one has been read twice and there is not crack on the spine. Same with the Invincible comp 1.

Their good overall quality is the reason why the Morning Glories comp was a blind buy.

I've read it on a table (because it's heavy) and there is no crack on the spine. I prefer hc-s too but for the price the Image compendiums are a very good deal.

Can I get some general advice from the members who regular hunt on ebay. What's an efficient way to search for a title you're hoping to find? Search by ISBN, title or just try everything until something pops up?

Usually I simply try by title and keep at it somewhat regularly until I find the new auction, low priced book, or so on that I'm ideally looking for. Another way is to try by the author's name since some sellers will list an item as something like "a J. Smith 'graphic novel'" and if that fails, you can sometimes find what you're looking for by trying the publisher. Pretty pointless with companies like DC or Marvel admittedly but with the likes of Drawn & Quarterly or Fantagraphics, you can find something you're looking for by typing in their names. Hope that helps.

Also, I recommend putting together your ideal search using search operators and then saving the search so you can re-run it easily. You can combine multiple searches into one using the "or" operator, which makes things much easier. See the link below for search operator details.

Did anyone buy the Morning Glories Compendium? Could they give a review about the spine cover? And maybe a few pictures if possible?

True but then it's "roll the dice" time on if it arrives undamaged.
If it does the hassle of the return and re-rolling of the dice that the second attempt arrives undamaged(I played this game three times with Amazon on a book one time)

I'll get it at IST for 50% off and know it arrives mint and be fine with the 2% difference. Peace of Mind tax.
