Default Storm Wonder Woman and Carol Supergirl

    Storm started her high-flying superheroine career in 1975 in Giant-Size X-Men 1.
Carol started her high-flying superheroine career in 1977 in Ms. Marvel 1.

Exciting that next year Storm will celebrate her 40th anniversary (1975-2015), but there isnīt a movie in 2015, with that comicbook character in the lead, to honor that achievement
Consolation to me is that her counterpart Wonder Woman will appear in the movie Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, which honors Wonder Womanīs 75th anniversary (1941-2016)

Also exciting is that Carol Danversīcounterpart Linda Lee Danvers, has been honored with the confirmation of a television series next year, during her 55th anniversary (1959-2014)
Through Carol Danversī counterpart Linda Lee Danvers I get to see Ms. Marvel appear in a television series which is a great consolation to me.

I surmise that the comicbook character Carol Danvers, will make her movie debut in Guardians of the Galaxy 2, which will then honor Ms. Marvelīs 40th anniversary (1977-2017)
Very grateful to marvel comics that the comicbook character Black Panther will make his movie debut in Steve RogersīCivil War movie in honor of his 50th anniversary (1966-2016)

It is awesome that we have seen all of the lead ladies have a solo venture of some sort either already having happened or upcoming. It is harder to make a team character and shove them into solo territory but at least that one has had her due in a number of movies as a supporting role.
I hope the Captain Marvel movie slays it!!!
    Nice celebration post.

Nice post . Can't believe it's already been 40 years for Storm. I don't see a Storm movie anytime soon with all of the Fox drama (maybe a netflicks or dedicated animated movie for her some day soon). And looking forward to WW finally gracing the big screen.
Be the change you wish to see in the world.

Certainly nowadays they seem more comparable. But, it's a little dependent on what your criteria are, I suppose.

It is now. I doubt that they'll ever have a Storm movie. I think we have a better chance of Tessa Thompson getting her own movie as Valkyrie, or a teenage-ish Monica Rambeau getting a movie with cameo appearances from one of the Spider-verse folks.

If we ever get a Storm movie, I would want it to be 80% told in the past and 20% present action.

What I mean is Ororo could be looking out a window when it is raining, thinking back to her days in Africa. Most of the movie could focus on her past, and an untold tale, before returning to the present. Then Storm heads out, has a brief adventure and this sets up things for.....Movie #2!

That would certainly continue the weird trend of woman superhero solo movies being set in the past. First Wonder Woman, then Captain Marvel, next Wonder Woman 1984...

Blew my mind when I saw it in the trailer. Enhanced by New Order's "Blue Monday."

How shocked would Ororo be if she sees Diana swinging on her lightning bolts?

I'm sure Ororo's shocked response would be "Goddess!"
