But barring that, Angela Bassett would be the perfect Storm. She is a phenomenal actor.

Strange Days is effectively a Gambit/Storm buddy pic and its criminal Fox couldn't get their shit together earlier to make Angela Bassett-Storm happen.

If any of you think Angela is "too old" I suggest you sit down and look up a little show called AHS: Coven because she is phenomenal. I think more so than anything Storm needs someone who can bring the character to life forget age besides I could easily see a slightly reimagined Storm as "slightly" closer to Xavier in age more of second mentor type badass through and through.

Angela Bassett without-a-doubt! First time I saw her, as Cold Water, was playing Tina Turner in "What's Love Got to Do With It?", and I gasped: "OMG, it's Ororo!!!". Since then, I've never been able to think of another one playing her rol --well, only the fabulous Grace Jones as a non-powered Storm, when she was more bad-ass than ever.





As with RuPaul, I think Ororo's got kinda great "male" beauty because of her leader attitude. It happens to many powerful ladies.

Halle Berry had to nag so much to obtain only a few very brief scenes while playing the #1 X-Man! I can only imagine how little screen time another actress would have had. If you've never read 80s X-Men, I can only imagine what you must think watching the movies. Like she's just another wallpaper prop.

Yeah, it annoyed me to the extreme. If it was frustrating to Halle, it was even more to us, old fans, watching one of the essential base of X-Men being treated as a supporting rol . It simply had no sense...unless it was because Ororo is a black woman.
