I haven't seen a thread for my newest favorite TV show yet - so here it is. Let's talk all things Murder House, Asylum, Coven and Freak Show. When I first started watching everyone said that the first season (Murder House) was the best and now I'm halfway through Asylum and have been keeping up on Freak Show so I think they're right so far, but I haven't seen anything of Coven yet. I think Freak Show is almost as good as Murder House so far, but it's had a few slow episodes.
What's everyone's favorite series so far? How about favorite characters?

Murder house was the best. Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk have a history of writing and producing phenomenal shows in the first year that go downhill fast in later installments.
This season Twisty was the best part. It's too bad they killed him off

Yeah, I definitely think Murder House is still the best. At least when they killed Twisty in Freak Show it was in a really cool way, we got a really great backstory out of him. I really hope Edward Mordrake makes another appearance, Wes Bently was really great.

I really am debating finishing watching Freak Show. It seems like the worst twists and turns in a series. They killed off the most interesting character (Twisty) and can't seem to know how they wanna write the Strong Man character each week.

I have loved this season. Dandy is the best character since Tate in s01. I am very excited for the finale tonight, my friends are having a viewing party.

I've still to see Coven, but I've really enjoyed the other three series. Asylum is easily the best, but I've really enjoyed Freak Show. It jumped the shark a little half-way through; but the start was AMAZING and the end is getting really good (Neil Patrick Harris was awesome). I also love how Ryan Murphy consistently uses real disabled actors in AHS; Freak Show has 4 (I think). That's amazing. So many would never get a chance for such meaty characters in any other show. Very happy for that.

This was a colossal mess of a season. The real only great episode was the "Orphans" episode with Pepper and Sister Eunice, and the only characters who did much for me were Elsa Mars, Desiree, Twisty and Bette/Dott. The rest of the characters were completely wasted (Michael Chiklis' character, Kathy Bates, Gabourey Sidibe, Patty LaBelle, ext.) and Dandy was such an annoying villain. Last night's episode was a nice sendoff for Lange though since this is her last season.
Jessica Lange, Angela Bassett, and Lily Rabe were awesome in Coven. The season was very uneven and messy, but those three really make the show worth seeing. Lange's character is just like Emma and Bassett's character is just like Storm! Originally Posted by Kieran_Frost

I've yet to see the finale. But the season was incredibly disappointing. None of it added up, one second Dandy was the threat, then he calmed a little. It makes no sense, its not leading to anything.
