the matches are fought in specific khazan arena where the Matrix characters are can uses their full abilities just as in the Matrix Itself even when the arena are treated as Real World

Back in the old board there was a general consensus that Neo would beat Manhattan by himself. The reasoning being that Neo is fast and strong enough to destroy Manhattan's body before he can do anything. And since Manhattan hasn't shown he can reform in ten seconds he loses by ten count.
