Okay, so I only just got round to reading X-Men Legacy. And I thought it was great.
But... the ending. I'm still struggling with it. For a start, how does that even work? What about the impact on the rest of the X-Universe? To take a random example I am particularly familiar with, no Legion means no M'kraan Crystal event, which means no Rogue/Gambit kiss, which means no absorbing Gambit's memories and guilt, no meeting Joseph, no Trail of Gambit... etc. There must be loads of stories that go a different way because there's no Legion.
More than that, which you can hand-wave away a bit by suggesting similar events happened with different causes, it seems unsatisfying. We'd already established that Legion considered removing his powers a cop-out: how is removing his existence not an even bigger one? His existence may not have worked out too well for a whole load of people, but does he really have the right to take his mother's child away from her? To re-write people's memories? Isn't that the kind of **** Xavier was always getting in to?
But I did love seeing David as a person rather than a plot device. And the accent fits.
so is he the only X character to get one of these?
Chamber got a cameo in the video, yipee!
Don't you think that there are too many coincidences between Legion and Night Shyamalan's last movie, 'Split'? Also, James McAvoy (Xavier, his father...).
The Women of Marvel are joined by X-Men editor Daniel Ketchum to introduce you to David Haller, aka Legion, from the comics.
Legion, the new original series from FX and Marvel, premieres February 8th 10 PM on FX.

I am EAGER to see James McAvoy Professor Charles Xavier appear on 'Legion' and see him interact with Dan Stevens David Haller
