Cregg was a character on the political TV show 'The West Wing'. I didn't think her mom was a real 'mystery'; I just thought she was dead.

My guess for the pool of light is the finale of the TV show 'Lost'; there was a glowing pool with some kind of artifact in it(?).

So, does Doom have the fake or real painting now?
I think Doom has the fake, and Black Cat has the legit painting?

I really enjoyed the conclusion and yes, looking back. I see how the Black Cat reveal worked and yes, I felt sorry for Fred by the end but very happy with Shocker's conclusion. I really hope that is followed up on.

I hope she doesn't break his heart like the way Barbara did with gordan. This beetle is revealed to be bisexual

God nick spencer just knows how to make a great series.
Sad to see it go but happy it ended so perfectly. I hope the thing with shocker actually stays in main continuity. And I love the reference to the original foes of spider-man with the whole shocker-mobile.

    Just perfect.

Great ending to a great series. Only one of the fill-in issues fell flat for me, but overall? One of my favorite series of all time.

Now I cant get rid of the mental image of Shocker in a fat suit.

Need to really catch up with this series...

Nick Spencer and Steve Lieber, and all who were involved deserve a big thanks, a hug, and maybe some doughnuts or some other tasty treat. What a great series. From the first issue to the last, this was just excellent. Never went where I thought it would go, every turn was a surprise, filled with more laugh out loud moments than any other comic I've ever read.

These 17 issues are a treasure.

Great series that I'll dearly miss.
I wish it would have been one issue longer tho, cause it seemed to me this last issue really should have been spread out over two issues to avoid some of the infodump. Still, it tied up all the loose ends and gave us the Shockermobile

I'm also with everyone else who said that we really need a follow-up to Shocker being the new kingpin in the pages of Spider-Man
