The New 52 portrayal of Mr Miracle don't look good bec. in Futures End, Mr Miracle is jailed for many years before he escapes which makes it hard to believe the guy is a god. Big Barda is not too powerful also and had a hard time beating super soldier Deathstroke. Whereas in godhead, new genesis gods are killing powerful lanterns like flies.
I do have the various kirby 4th world series but I have sold the new gods issues already. I already sold the first appearance of Darkseid years ago but maybe I should've held on to it.
Granny Goodness does look a bit like everyone's evil grandmother in law so maybe Granny Goodness is the god of all grandmother in laws.

He could escape anytime, he said and showed this. He was just trying to figure out how to get everyone else out with him.

There's God and then there are gods. I don't think we should confuse the two.

God is all powerful, all knowing, all present. A god can vary widely in power, knowledge and presence. The Greek gods were sometimes portrayed as awesome beings and other times as nearly human. The Norse gods much the same could act just like human beings.

Kirby's original intent was for the NEW GODS to be part of the THOR story at Marvel. When he couldn't do that and he wanted to leave Marvel, Carmine Infantino gave him the opportunity to do that story at DC. So Kirby's gods in his Fourth World should be judged against the measure of Thor, Odin, Loki, Sif, Baldur at Marvel.

Your best bet (aside for Kirby, of course) is his tenure in the JLI and in his spin-off miniseries.

Oddly, I actually though the Mister Miracle mini was the worst part of Seven Soldiers and not just because I much prefer Scott Free to Shilo Norman.

Heard he might be in JSA # 8, as a member of the Justice Society Dark courtesy of DC's New Golden Age

All deities are aspects of the same concept filtered through and interpreted by downworlders.

But New 52 depowered most of the uberpowerful heroes. Superman and WW were hit especially hard. A single nuke could nearly kill them.

So Tom King did a 12 part series with Mister Miracle, which many people liked. (I hated it, but I am willing to admit I'm in the minority too.)
I think restorative nostalgia is the number one issue with comic book fans.
A fine distinction between two types of Nostalgia:

Reflective Nostalgia allows us to savor our memories but accepts that they are in the past
Restorative Nostalgia pushes back against the here and now, keeping us stuck trying to relive our glory days.

Generally speaking, if it is not Marv Wolfman, John Byrne, or Walt Simonson and it involves the fourth world, it is going to be mid at best
