The reason why supes never had dirt and grime over his suit or why his suit never tore up was given as "because of his aura"

None of his powers make sense. Why would living under a yellow sun rewire your nervous system and physiology to give you some radiation emitters for heat vision?

Why would heat vision aid in repairing gun shot wounds?
