    TRADE ONLY
    Hellboy
    Walking Dead

the new Sabrina book when it drops

RANDOM - Stuff I want to read but havent gotten around and not really looking for it
ESSENTIAL - 60 or 70's era Marvel books
Lone Wolf & Cub - phone book sized in B&W
    Japanese horror in b&W
Conan - b&w in phone book sized
Weirdo independent books that just catches my eye like something from Charles Burns
B&W collected anthologies like a phone book sized Savage Dragon vol. II - Yeah, taking your sweet time ain't ya Larsen?

Not really keeping too much. I pass on my books to less fortunate family members and I dont' really want them back after they leave my house.

The amount of disposable income some of you have astonishes me.

Eh, despite the size of my pull list, I spend less on comics per week than a pack a day smoker would spend in a week on cigarettes or Joe Six Pack a day would spend on beer for the week or what Mr. White Collar or Hipstergirl would spend buying one coffee a day at Starbucks M-F. It's not how much you spend as much as what you choose to spend it on.

So am I, but man, I've got bills to pay, too. *shrugs* Maybe it's just the New York effect.

Also, hipsters going to Starbucks. *snerk* That's so cute.

Generalizing incorrectly I know but the point is $5 a pack of smokes/cup of coffee/six pack of beer a day adds up to $25-35 a week. My pull list as big as it is, never tops $20 a week, usually less, usually $10-12. I have $20 a week to spend on something. I chose comics over smokes/beer/take out coffee/fast food or whatever. Often when people say they can't afford something because they don't have enough discretionary money, what they are saying is they don't use discretion when spending that money and spend it on other things without thinking about what they are spending. If you're not making ends meet, that's one thing, but discretionary money is not about what you have to spend money on, but how you choose to spend it. We all have our own priorities and how people choose to prioritize it is their business. Your assumption is they have more discretionary income than you, you could be correct, or they could just prioritize what discretionary income they have differently than you do.
