Just going off that series of clips, the fighting itself was functional, I guess. Obviously going for a more realistic style of street fighting combined with more pragmatic martial arts. Camera work sucked, though, and made the style even harder to get into. But I suppose I've been spoiled by wuxia.

I can't speak to the rest of the show, but I've heard it's considered quite stellar. Never much of a Daredevil guy, so I doubt I'll watch it, or any of the other Defenders shows until the actual Defenders series starts (maybe), butt hey, I'm one of three people I know who actually liked the movie and the Elektra follow up, at least at the time, so, make of that what you will.

Hmmm. Still waiting for that Daredevil/Green Arrow crossover.

If said crossover results in DD beating the daylights out of Malcolm, I'm all in.

But yeah, the DD Netflix series is amazing.
And I just rewatched the Director's cut version of the DD Movie. Not bad really.

Eh, I'm not seeing it. The camera angles are great imo and complement this style pretty well. What would you have them do instead?

Stationary camera that shows everything without reliance on jump cuts.

Also, there needs to be zany wire work, and them fighting on a lake by balancing on floating leaves.

Daredevil's got, like, super-balance or some shit, he could totally pull that off.

This is a case where I think the jumpcuts work though. They put you in the different angles of the fight, and quickly. A stationary camera would if anything make the fight scenes look more boring.
