I did do a whole write up on new Star Wars but then the board ate it for some reason. :/

I'll probably redo it tomorrow.

In short, overall I liked it a lot. It's a very different kind of film that really pushes what Star Wars can be and, in some cases, deconstructs a lot of core component parts of the mythos. I liked it a lot. Cinematography is excellent, it's a very pretty film to look at. It's quite busy, a lot happens, but it didn't drag for me at any point.

More coherent long form thoughts to come but I would recommend seeing it and would advise you to go in with the expectation of being challenged.
