Honestly my biggest problem, aside from how poorly written it is that they SOLVED THE PLOT OFFSCREEN, is that they didn't even show her avoiding him or outsmarting him or anything. His slash totally hit her. What, does she have invulnerability frames now?

I'd say the volume 2 final was far worse than this. RWBY is a very hit and miss show and has had it's fair share of bad episodes, but in my opinion, the volume 2 final was and still is, the only episode of the show that is flat out awful.
