Goddammit, Paul: Is it not possible for you to stop filming Capcom-based adaptations that necessitate that your wife have the lead role?

It's not nearly as infuriating as it was with Resident Evil since the MH games generally have no central characters or plot to speak of (save some of the more recent games), but it chafes at me that this producer/director is still trying to insert his wife into every Capcom property he licenses for filming.

the scarf makes it look like he did duck under the bullet, but since it happens off screen can't tell for certain if it happened while the bullet was traveling

next you have him rolling away from bullets striking the ground short of him that's obviously not bullet timing rather general evasion/bad aiming

finally the strongest candidate as he appears to be moving as the bullet is skimming behind him but again since we see the bullet as it passes not when it's traveling too him we can't say for certain it's actual bullet dodging or aim dodging

It can be hard to judge from comics unless they take pains to explicit show it but I wouldn't say these are clear evidence for bullet timing


also that hand injury just makes me cringe, ew

edit: never mind. hiromi broke it down. but it should be noted that sugimoto did slash up his leg badly with a katana. so it's still pretty impressive that he could move that well with a fucked up leg.

a trailer for a Tremors series planed by Kevin Bacon that Syfy passed on. currently this series has no network, and it hasn't been pick up yet by anyone. it pretty much only has just a trailer and didn't even make it past post production stage. it wasn't even giving a chance it was just snuff out like a candle.
