Dragon Ball Super 51: Plenty of Terminator parallels about Trunks' future are made in this episode. Surprisingly more emphasized than when the Androids and Cell were around.

Mai/John Connor is the leader of the human resistance forces to oppose Goku Black. Trunks/Cameron is her superpowered non-human ally/love interest in the war against him. Goku Black/The Terminator/Skynet is intent on exterminating humanity because he perceives them as a blasphemy that prevent the DB multi-verse from becoming a paradise and that they are God's greatest mistake. He has also implied that he apparently has visited enough universes and timelines via Time Ring and possibly Instant Transmission to affirm this belief, and is acting as the God's unlicensed liquidator. In retrospect, you can't even say he's completely wrong. Because as we know, It was because of humanity's intense negative emotions that coalesced and formed Majin Buu, who was the most powerful being under the sun excluding the Gods of Destruction, Zeno and whatever the heck Vados and Whis are. And Kid Buu was said to become increasingly insane and violent between his cycles of hibernation and destruction because he kept absorbing more of mankind's evil. So, it's a bit of food for thought. We also find out that Goku should not fight against Black since the latter can assimilate his power and techniques through battle and has presumably done the same with others. So, he's also Amazo.

Toriyama revealed in an interview that Bibidi did not actually create Buu. Instead, Buu has existed since times immemorial and went through cycles of hibernation. Over time, he absorbed mankind's evil which apparently changed him into the crazy Kid Buu.

Babidi's dad then figured out how to forcefully seal him and wake him up at will. He used this to spread his reign of terror through the universe.
