Edit: oh, God, it's a 'new', 'Good' Ring of Power. Doesn't anyone actually READ what these things were for, and that the basis for their creation was Sauron's lore? Bleah.

I bet the writers of the game figured that hey, the three Elven rings were grand old things (they weren't), so why not make another Ruling Ring (apparently missing the point of the whole 'Ruling' part)?

I'd honestly prefer if it were set in its own universe woth the same setup. Because if the gameplay trailer is anything to go by then most of the game is just EXPANDED Nemesis system, which is cool. It's just....the story seems to go out of its way to not fit into canon, I feel like it'd be even better if it was an original property.

That said...it's cool how you can apparently pal arpund with orcs, though.

Having just finished Resident Evil 7 I have to say that it was a good return to form. It was nice to see the game go back to focusing on atmosphere, and mood. The Black mold was pretty cool but lacked variety outside of the three types of enemies roaming the game. Evelin was okay, and the Bakers were also a good addition. I want to see where Capcom takes Resident Evil now, and I wonder if Ethan will be a part of it.
