Just remembered that Xavier recruited Wolverine to the X-Men with some brainwashing as well.

Xavier was a blonde, redhead mutants are emotionally unstable, destructive and have poor taste in lovers example Rachael and Siren, blondes are manipulative, selfish and posses the ability to make people think they are innocent example Illyana and Emma.

Xavier is always right. Even when he thinks he isn't.

There were some attempts to portray him as a saint in the 1990s, but the writing was so heavy-handed that it back-fired. (Example, in "Fatal Attractions" when the X-Men literally pledge their allegiance and chant Xavier's dream ritualistically, like they worship him, and it doesn't make Charlie look like a saint to the astute reader, it makes the X-Men look like a cult being controlled by a narcissistic puppet-master.)

I prefer the one who tries to be a saint because he knows how low he is capable of slipping when he doesn't. I find it better than Evil Chuck or the Heavy Handed Saint.
    Dark does not mean deep.

Yes! Mark Waid originally conceived Onslaught as only Dark Xavier, but Scott Lobdell (a Xavier lover) talked Harras into adding Magneto into the mix. In the comics leading up to the Onslaught event, the references are very clear that Xavier has all these dark secrets, these dark parts, locked away in his mind. Somehow, these days, whenever someone at Marvel talks about Onslaught, all you hear is, *Onslaught is the rage and aggression of Magneto.* But Onslaught is basically Dark Xavier, with some of Magneto's rage and insanity thrown in at the last minute.

Onslaught is a separate personality that has all Xavier's power and none of his restraint, think of him as Xavier's Hulk only with the ability to exist apart from Xavier. Poor Legion inherited his fathers mental illness.
