I don't know who the first Latino character I liked would have been, but probably Spider-Man 2099. I enjoyed the original series, though I stopped reading after a couple years.
My favourite . . . hmm. That's really tough. I loved what Gillen did with America. She's great. Spider-Girl's always a lot of fun. White Tiger's a really compelling character (Ava, I mean). And Goldballs is amazeballs.
For villain, it's gotta be Armadillo. He's such a great character. He's a total loser and you can't help but love him.
For Latino characters who deserve a solo, there's a few. I wouldn't mind seeing Spider-Girl get another shot, though I suppose she's got a poor track record for solos. I think White Tiger could be cool. Possibly America, though her attitude might be a problem for that. I think she needs a strong cast to play off of.
I'd love to see Firebird brought back into the Avengers.
Rictor and Sunspot were two of my favourites in X-Force.
Wait, I lie, I liked everyone except Feral.
So, Feral'd be my favourite Hispanic villain. (She went from X-Force to the MLF)
I love Miles' early stuff but I've gone off Ultimate lately.
I'd like White Tiger and Power Man to get a series. but I'm liking them in CA&MA/MA.
I surrender to the Contest
Favorites: Victor Mancha, Miss America, White Tiger (Ava)
Like: Ultimate Spider Man, Arana, Nova, Power Man, Tarentula (Maria Wasquez), Tag
I see you added a section for appreciation threads, Kieran Frost.
Well, here is one for Hummingbird (and Scarlet Spider). Click on the url or the image.

I'd have to go with Hummingbird as my favorite Hispanic superhero. If just by the poll, I'd go with Sam Alexander, Miles Morales, or Victor Mancha.
And another for your listante Pertuz a.k.a. Inferno from Inhuman:
Latino characters appreciation thread? YAAAAAY!!!
My answers to a, b, d are all Anya :P Here I made a post for WOCtoberfest on why I like her so much.
Anya appreciation thread!
And to add to the list, how could you forget that the last 2 Ghost Riders where/are latinos?
Alejandra and Robbie!
I don't think I particularly cared about Alejandra, but I really like Robbie!
Allow me to do a little nitpicking: Sunspot's last name should be spelled "da Costa". No matter how many times the writers get it wrong, that's still not how Portuguese works. Sorry, I just can't help being bothered about it. There was even a letter in X-Force in the 90s detailing all the language mistakes - didn't help for long.
Wow.... How could I have forgotten Robbie the Ghost Rider?!? I'm offically ashamed
Robbie's great. He's a fantastic character. It's kind of interesting to note that Robbie, Sam and Miles, the three heroes with Latino heritage, are also among the only heroes with money problems. It's an odd coincidence, but Latino solo heroes just seem to be worse-off, in terms of money, than any other heroes.
Also, while Sam gets a ton of hate from fans of Richard Rider, he's actually a really good character. I'm certain we're going to get plenty of posts declaring Sam as the worst Latino character, or as the biggest Latino villain, or just generally bashing the character, because Rider's fans are apparently a bunch of resentful dicks. But Sam's cool. He's got a really interesting story, a great supporting cast, and it's been interesting watching him grow as a person. I do like him. I actually like him a lot more than Rider, who was always pretty bland and generic.
