Ugh, yeah, that seriously annoyed me!

I'm sure that was a mistake by McKeever, but holy sh*t how could they just glanced over a characters nationality?!

I wrote a bit more in detail about it here. Every info of her refers to her as half-mexican, half-puerto rican, even in press releases of the Spider-Girl series they referred to her as such, so it's safe to say that she's both and that was a serious mistake by Mckeever.

Arclight appeared in the 2006 motion picture X-Men: The Last Stand played by Dominican fashion model and actress Omahyra Mota. Arclight had no lines in the film. In the movie, her shock wave-based superpowers are more refined than in the comic book: her shock waves project in an outward fashion and she can target specific materials. She is a member of the Omegas and was killed along with Quill and Psylocke by Jean Grey's disintegration wave.

Or she may consider herself puerto rican or puerto rican first and that's what maybe the writer was getting to.

To add to that list above, for the MCU there is also Jasper Sitwell who is played by Maximiliano Hernandez.

I was disappointed that he turned out to be HYDRA in CA:TWS, as he was one of the more well known SHIELD agents but on the other hand that was probably why they picked his character so people would be able to recognize him instead of just being a random SHIELD agent.
