John Allison is just fucking awesome. I follow sixteen webcomics and his is always the very first I read. I came in partly through Scary Go Round and just cannot ever, ever leave. I bought one of those books he called ugly because his work is never, ever anything approaching ugly. No matter how bizarre the story, the characters are always true to themselves and nearly demand that you love them. He can change anything he wants as far as I'm concerned because he's never made a bad choice yet with his changes!

John Allison is a comic genius. I have been following him since the Bobbins days and have most of his books. I can't get enough of his sublime wit the galaxy of quirky characters he has created. Every time he shifts the format, I initially worry that I will lose my old friends then relax as the next incarnation is at least as good as the previous one. He has created so many great stories and wonderful characters that I can't help but hope I see the old ones show up again as he begins new adventures. The new Bobbins has brought back many of the longstanding greats including Ryan, Amy, Tim Jones (Tupping Liberty, you can't leave him behind!) The Boy, now going by his real name Useless, I mean Eustace, and of course the magical chaotic princess of all things Scary Go Round, Shelley Winters. If I could, I would move to Tackleford and reopen Hugo's sandwich shop and hang out in a pub talking the locals, trading goods with leprechauns and investigating The Child.
