Default DKR 3 in talks with Frank Miller and Scott Snyder

CBR has confirmed previous reports of a potential Frank Miller and Scott Snyder co-written sequel to DC's celebrated "Dark Knight Returns."

    Full article here.

It would follow an older Carrie Kelley as she searches for her successor to the mantle.

Not a fan of the idea of Snyder co-writing. Miller's dialogue needs to be his purely for example, don't mind if Snyder helps with scenes or story pacing.

So are we acting like DKSA doesn't exist and we get a better sequel where Batman fights Superman again except with good art

Loved DKSA for what it was; expect, with Snyder's involvement, for this to be less colorful and far less textually restrained, but would be fun, especially with Murphy drawing (though he's all booked up, I'd imagine).

Wouldn't be surprised if Jim Lee ended up drawing it, though.

No, you need Snyder to real in Miller's dialogue, otherwise you end up with classic lines like: "I touched my mother's breast. It bled on me."

Frankly speaking, the only thing that really concerns me is the fact that Miller is seriously unwell.

When I saw "Snyder" in the title I was terrified for a split second that this had something to do with the cinematic universe, but I'm relieved it's just going to be a crappy comic I can ignore.

This probably came about because of the Batman vs Superman movie and them deciding to use Carrie Kelley. Helps promote her character more in time for the movie. No idea how this will turn out.

I'll take that over Snyder's monologue, thank you very much!

Hmmm, but what if they combine their dialogue/narration styles into one? You have Miller's ramblings and Snyder's overly long monologues into... *shivers* err... that's a scary thought upon thinking about.

Pacing isn't a word I'd assoiciate with Snyder.

I'm both excited and deeply worried about this venture. This is something you want not to disappoint.

I'd just hope it's better than DKSA

I think this sounds like a cool idea that fits both of these guys' stregnths. However, I think JRJR should do the artwork. An art style in the spirit of Miller's is needed here. Jim Lee and Andy Kubert are cool, but they don't fit. One reason among several why ASBR was disappointing was because Miller's writing and Lee's art had no chemistry.
