That IS an interesting question. I mean, No, she doesn't carry it but... how is it activated and where is it stored?

I'm still amazed by the number of cats popping up throughout Marvel. heh.
Many of Stan Lee's most movingly momentous tales were actually ghost-written by his cat.

    True historical fact.

I assume it's a collapsible form of metal that slides into the collar lining.
    Something like that.

One could reasonably hypothesize that it's retracted into the same place the rest of her costume goes when she's not wearing it. (Possibly the same dimension that all lost socks go to when the dryer eats them.) She does have special "my costume turns on and off on a whim" powers, afterall.

omg so obvious! I love that I'm all caught up on "where does the helmet come from???" but I'm totally cool with the suit appearing out of nowhere!
Now I just feel silly. haha.

In a world of unstable molecules and stark metal that can look like silk... well comic book science. lol.

I remember that cover to X-men Legacy:

And being a huge Mark Brooks fan right after that.

I love Mark Brooks' art, but that cover has always been one of my favorites of his.

I've actually learned a lot about digital painting just from looking at his stuff and trying to emulate it.

I remember two years back when the new suit was shown, some were strongly opposed to it.

That's before they knew she would be attending a funeral in issue #1.

But seriously, I don't know why people still complain about the new suit at this point. It doesn't stop you from looking at images of the old suit. Those comics still exist.
