Sounds like it might be a mini (hopefully so we can move on with a new creative team)? For me, Stohl has been pitching something interesting with each arc but delivers something incomprehensible. Yet I keep buying hoping this time she'll deliver. So yes, I'll most likely be buying this. But I'm not excited for it at all.....

Pacheo's involvement will get me to give it a chance.

I wish Marvel would relaunch it with Thompson and Pichelli. That'd be exciting.

Either of those names alone would make it something I'd absolutely check out. Together? Hell yeah. That might even heal the wound in my soul that is Invincible ending a little bit.

Ah, I dunno.....we'll see what the people say about this origin story and how the preview looks.....maybe its a narrative that Stohl can sell me on.

How is this story going be told? Does Carol really go home? Or is it going to be a series of first-person flashbacks? Is this going to be more of Carol's cruddy relationship with her father?

That looks very promising. I can't wait to read it. I like the idea of Carol coming back to Earth for a bit and reconnecting. Her story is so cosmic in scale and scope that it's sometimes easy to forget that she's still human. I think it helps to have a reminder of just how human she can be at heart and revisiting her origins can do just that.

I just can't get excited for Stohl. Hopefully, Carol will get the A-list treatment she deserves around the time her movie comes out.

Doesn't make me happy tbh. Yeah, Carol should have a sassy smart ass personality, but I'm not sure about "action-comedy" part. If they mean an Iron Man style, sure, but if it's more like Ant-Man/GOTG/Ragnarok style I'm gonna be disappointed.

That's good news. And yes, Marvel is going to have to put an A-list or rising star writer on the series if it wants to increase Carol's profile before the movie. But waiting until December or January seems to be cutting it close......

I kind of want the film to be "Top Gun with superpowers" myself. Especially since Brie looks so much like a female Maverick when she's in that flightsuit and rocking the shades. Also 90's.

It says "Captain Marvel has skeletons in her closet". Maybe she finds out her brother wasn't killed in Vietnam after all. Just speculation on my part.
