If you're taking about the db movies against the P5, Db has a bunch of massively FTL characters who could blitz and keeping on blitzing. Well, given that the Phoenix Force has shown control over matter on a molecular level several times, I doubt it makes a difference if it is magical or not, it will just reassemble.

It would be something else if Buu's candy beam would have the same properties as Chaos Magic, because (sigh) since AvX, that`s apparently a weak point of the force.

Except for the Scarlet Witch's stuff, the Phoenix folks don't show any specific issue with magic. Emma's "lethally come back from fragments" moment came after getting smashed by something magic-y, and the PF specifically amped Ilyanna's magic.
