This is more like a retcon than a reboot.

Yes, if she used her reality warping powers to say her blood and her brothers blood is no longer tied to Magneto it would be a reboot which honestly would have done far less to undermine decades of storytelling. Though it still would have undermined future storytelling.

Honestly all they really had to do as you said was simply keep them over on the Avengers titles for the next decade or so along with retconning Magda as Inhuman and voila you would have had your separation and could promote them as Inhumans without the damage the current decision does.

If they are actually doing an official reboot I would rather Marvel respect the current and classic continuity rather than reveal changes that will later be made anyways.

I hope FOX majorly acknowledges Quicksilver (and Scarlet Witch) as his children in the next X-Men movie just to be dicks to Marvel. Two can play this silly game.

Not really, all the movie did was give Scott Lang an ongoing book and maybe help make it easier to bring back Cassie. They only other thing the film could do is introduce Hope Pym to the 616 universe and introduce a new villainous Yellowjacket.

I love your optimism, but after today any crack pot theory doesn't seem so far fetched anymore. The MCU Hank Pym is played by Michael Douglas, so I'd be worried about the Marvel U making Hank super-old now. Maybe they'll reveal that his years of using Pym particles accelerated his aging.

Feige swears up and down that film Wanda and Pietro are not Inhumans. If that's true, then why make them Inhumans in the comics when there are other mutant Avengers that aren't "altered"?

The Apocalypse movie happens in the 80s. DoFP is in the 70s. So as you can surmise from Quicksilver already being in his teens in the 70s, he'll just be 10 years older in the 80s.

Did you see Days of Futures Past? He was already in it. He was the scene stealer that everyone talked about. And they don't outwardly say it, but it is implied Magneto is his father.
