Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver are no longer Mangeto's kids. Axis 7 has Wanda cast a spell called 'Strike down my family" and only Pietro was affected, not Magneto. Wanda realized that they were never related.

So Magneto is officially out of the picture.

*ugh* io had a feeling something like this would happen but this was worse than i thought like worse than clone sage, worse than thor 2, worse than SM 3, worse than civil war, worse than some moments and arc i hate. this was just so hurtful!

The problem isn't the retcon itself but the motivations behind it.

If there was even the pretense that this was made purely to tell new stories, it'd be somewhat okay, but we all know the real reason. The fact that we're retconning things due to movie rights and strife between studios bugs me.

That sums up my feelings on the issue as well.
The twins have had a well established connection to Magneto for decades that spans across multiple universes, but that's all being thrown away just incase one or two movie fans pick up a comic book.

The reason for this retcon is so stupid, I'm almost to the point of being done with Marvel.

their movies are pretty much the reason why i'm being done with them as well. hell, i didn't think their movies are that hot. i think their avenegrs movies are overly pretentious

This, its just changing things to change them, it doesn't actually make stories better. It also takes away from the twins, having the connection was neither good nor bad but it was interesting, this... much less so.

We don't entirely know what "this" is yet though.

It's possible that the story we get from Wanda and Pietros actual parents might end up being a great story. And there's also a possibility that Magneto might end up finding his actual kids, which might end up being an interesting story too. We'll have to wait and see.

I am right there with you. Tossing away dozens and dozens of stories over the decades across many universes and animated series just because of short term financial decisions and bad ones as well as sticking it to Fox studios pisses me off.
