Um...in what way is THOR a "major character" of this story??? He's been everywhere but here and you can already see the story unraveling at the seams with how uncoordinated this whole sham was hastily put together. Thor and Loki DRINKING at a casino when Thor #1 clearly has a GODDESS state that he has not left the moon in weeks and has NOT eaten or had DRINK in all that time. He was there since the end of Original Sin (which explains his ripped up clothing)and obviously couldn't leave the moon since he cant fly. So bravo to Marvel for showing how they derailed Aarons original tale. Bravo also in convincing the "free thinkers" in your target audience to just ignore the gigantic loopholes in both your story and established continuity. I gather that since the reboot is on its way that wont matter soon anyway.

Anyhow, all the focus in this book is on the impostor. Thor makes one appearance at the end of an issue only to be beat up in the next issue for sure and "he's a major part" of the story. LMAO....what utter BS! If you like the story...fine. But, don't try and make it seem like Marvel gives a hoot about the ONLY THOR that matters since its clear hes only canon fodder for the foreseeable future. I will echo some of the posts above as an "inverted" spin of their opinion, since that's what Marvel seems to be supporting now: for the first time in my life, I am NOT picking up any THOR issues because none are currently being published.

Well it's not doing much for me yet I have to say. I'm also suspicious of the motives. It seems the actor playing movie Captain America wants to move on and suddenly they're recasting him in the comics. This feels like the same thing. So far I see no narrative merit to the change.

Everything you list as a some kind of plothole has a clear explanation. He has been using Toothbreaker/Gnasher for transportation, that has been clearly shown on multiple occasions. Freyja also clearly stated that he has left the moon 'when forced to' (Axis, Avengers stuff) and oh no, she was MISTAKEN (or maybe somewhat exaggerating) about him not drinking! *gasp* well, that just invalidates the entire story, right there, doesn't it?

And Aaron has stated MULTIPLE TIMES that this has always been his plan, Marvel is not forcing him, nothing has been 'derailed'. People like you continuing to insist otherwise is basically just calling him a liar, which I think is worse than simply not liking the story. I mean, I guess I can see how it's easier to pin the blame on some anonymous editorial directive, but I am going to take him at his word on this, and trust that he is going somewhere cool with it. His stellar run on God of Thunder has earned him that much, imo. And no reboot is happening, that's just people jumping to conclusions. You're stuck with this.

He missed out on one issue, well, maybe 2, since he was on only one page of this issue, of 3 issues released so far. It's too early to call just how big his role will be in the story to come. Yeah, the focus is on the new girl right now, but that he came back at all does indicate he will have a continuing role.

Interested in seeing if "war on Earth" is how things wind up playing out.
